The timing stand is used to set timing on the Bendix Dual magneto. The protractor allows for fast and easy setting of the 8 degree timing from neutral for left or right hand magnetos. The stand then allows for accurate setting of the retard breaker lag angle of 10 degrees. Synchronizing of the main and secondary points is faster and more accurate than using the rotor marks since neutral and the "K" on the rotor can be off.
